Opportunities with the Danville Symphony Orchestra
We often have a need for substitute or extra musicians in all sections: Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussion. If you play any orchestral instrument(s), please send us a message. Students are welcome! DSO is a group of professional and talented amateur musicians. We are like a big family and are very welcoming to newcomers. Even if your skills are a little rusty, we encourage you to come and try us out. Our audition process is informal and includes meeting with the principal for your section, perhaps playing a few excerpts, and sitting in on a few rehearsals with us to see if we are a good match.

The Danville Symphony Orchestra is a community orchestra and musician members are not compensated. The season includes 4 Saturday night concerts and biennial July 4th concerts. Rehearsals are
Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:30PM. Usually there are no services needed during summer months.
